It’s never too early to start decorating for Halloween at our house! This year we are making black paper flying bats with neon designs in addition to our usual pumpkins and spiders!
My favorite holiday is coming up, and I cannot wait!! I absolutely love Halloween because it’s a time of year when you can be as creative as you want. These midnight DIY trick or treat bags are easy to make and fun to decorate for kids of any age. I call them “midnight” because they require creating art on a black as night background. Or if you’re like me, you might find yourself crafting at the stroke of midnight to finish a project!
How do you start drawing a mandala? I often receive this question, and there are many techniques you can use to start designing mandalas. My name is Susanne Braun, I’m a Dutch mandala artist on instagram, and in this blog I will show you the steps I use to begin drawing your own unique mandala!
OOLY’s Lil’ Poster Paint Pods offer a fantastic palette of colors fit for a cosmic space theme! I loved the neon colors in this set, they’ve made it possible to create fantastical, “galactical” planets as a great paper mache project. These brightly colored planets would make great props for a school project, a space themed birthday party or just to hang in a child’s bedroom! And the perfect accompaniment to the D.I.Y Alien and Spacecraft from my previous blog.
We have been having the strangest winter season! One day it’s freezing, the next it’s 60 degrees. So even though we have about another month until the spring solstice, I figured it was high time we tackle one of the winter art projects my kids and I have been wanting to do. In fact, this Northern Lights art project knocks two items off of our Winter Bucket List.
